Comments: Hey Elena
Heard you playing at the Hole in the Wall last week in Austin. Though I caught only the last two songs I thought you and your band were great.
I heard you will be playing again tomorrow and I will be there to hear you from song one this time.
It was exciting to hear that you studied some Indian classical music too!
Good luck and keep playing Varsha
Comments: Hi Elana - we met when you toured the UK in 2004 with HCOC
Hope to meet you again next year on your UK tour - who will you have with you on the tour as backing musos?
ALso please try to get the venues posted as soon as possible, as if you are not going to be performing in the North West, I'll need to book up time off work, and somewhere to stay, as I'm determined to see your show.
Regards
Stewart
Comments: We were introduced to the joys of your music recently at the McEvoy Olive Ranch Harvest Party, and I was completely mesmerized. I have always been a huge music fan and tire so much of the ordinary, video-driven fare. It isn't easy these days to find quality offerings on the radio, and finding someone inspirational is always a great joy. Immediately after hearing your music, but without your postcard in hand to help me to remember the full name of the band, I logged on and simply typed "Elana Texas Fiddle" and hit "go". I found you, and I then purchased a CD, which I have happily listened to non-stop since then. You're amazing, and you're a true gift to us. Thank you for brightening our lives! - Suzanne Porteus, Portola Valley (near San Francisco), California
Comments: Hi Elana GREAT NEWS !!!! You have a UK tour in April 2006, get those venue details up as soon as you can and we'll do our best to fill one ![]() Any new recordings yet ? Mick & Helen
Comments: Heard you might be coming up to Belton for the Texas Western Swing Showcase in March. If you are, you better be working the kinks of of Hoyle's old "Comin' Down fron Denver" & "Shine" as someone"?" might request it! Hope you can make it.

Bob Gordon 11-24-05 Alana, I had the pleasure of hearing you in Raleigh N.C.and thought you sounded like Grappelli.I have most of his recordings and now that I have found your website I intend to purchase some of yours. There are numerous venues here in the triangle Duke, UNC, so come to N.C. I like the music in your site and will give it a shot on one of my home made fiddles. In one way at least I feel I have mastered the box. Regards
Comments: Love your music, Elana. Check out your photo form the Hole in the Wall on my website http://stevehopson.com/
Comments: Hey Snarfy & Eva!!! Tammy says hay!!
Comments: Elana and the Hazard Boys --
There must be a story there and if there isn't, you need to make one up!
Heard you tonight at T-gill's. Love the music you play and the way you play it. Wanted to be sure you had heard Django and Stephane playing Daphne. I found it on a 1998 ASV CD of original mono recordings titled "The Quintessential Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, La Quintette du Hot Club de France".
Keep swingin'!

Comments: Hi, Elana! Wish you could have been in Dylan's band longer; I saw the five shows in Chicago and one in Milwaukee and thougth they were all terrific! I always thought that the band needed more violin. Most bands do! You were the envy of an awful lot of women attending those shows (though they tried their hardest to cover that with contempt and criticism). My friends and I raised a toast to you in the hotel after the milwaukee show (though a couple of the women present refrained). Hope you can make it back to Chicago soon!
Comments: Elana, just found your website and wanted to thank you for some outstanding music. I saw you with HCOCT in Lexington, KY back in the '04 Dylan/Nelson tour. Please come back to play in Kentucky again soon, with or without whatever incarnation of whatever band you wish. Your outstanding singing and playing are sorely missed!
Comments: I caught some of your interview on KGSR this morning. You sounded great. I love the way you keep reinventing yourself. For long time fans like me you keep it interesting. Can't wait to catch the new ensemble. Diana
Comments: Elana,
We here that you have let Hot Club. We would love for you to find your way back to Winfield sometime in the near future if possible. You were missed this year.
God Bless The Wright Family
Comments: Hi, Elana!
Ok, I just need to tell you that you broke my little fiddle man's heart by not appearing in Winfield, KS, at the Walnut Valley Festival this year! The "little fiddle man" I am referring to is my 15-year-old son, Chase Foster. I don't know if you remember him, but you all have met on several occasions...He played at the Legends of Western Swing Festival in Dripping Springs this year and several other places you and the guys were at. He just adores you, Elana! Just so happens, at this year's Winfield Bluegrass Festival, Chase ended up performing with Tommy Emmanuel in 2 shows--IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! Chase sang jazz tunes and played fiddle with Tommy! Chase was asked to open for Tommy in Oklahoma next spring!! A few weeks later, Chase got asked to play fiddle for Hank Thompson, because his fiddle player came up sick! What an honor! Then, Chase shared the stage with Charlie Daniels for the 4th time! It has been an amazing year for Chase!
Anyway, I would love for Chase to play some tunes with you in the future. If you ever think you would have time to jam with him during one of your Austin performances, please, let me know...We live in Kansas, but we like to make trips to Texas alot. He would be honored to jam with you and do some swing or jazz numbers! Thanks for all your inspiration and great music! You are SPECTACULAR!
Respectfully, Toma Foster (aka Chase's Mom)
Comments: Elana, While I was sad to hear that HCCT had disbanded I was thrilled to hear that you had formed another great group with Cindy, Red and Jake. Best of luck. May I suggest (or even beg) that you all make plans to play Fort Worth way. Lots of fans north of Austin at places like Sons of Hermann in Dallas, or Pearl's Dancehall and Saloon and the White Elephant in the Stockyards. Lookin' forward to sayin' hi at Cuvie's party. I also want to mention that there will be a Reunion with Tom Morrell and all the Timewarp Tophands to honor Tom at the Longhorn Saloon in the FW Stockyards on November 13th which begins at 6pm. Sure would like to see all of you if you're available. In the meantime, keep swingin' and puttin' out that great music. Cathi ![]()
Comments: Elana - You made my amp sound great at Ginny's! My amp talked about you all the way home.
You're amazing!

Comments: Elana, When you coming back to Europe again with a band HotClub or otherwise ? Mick
Comments: Please come to play in Indianapolis. We have a wonderful music scene here, and I will make sure that all my music-loving poet friends come. My 2002 collection of poems set in Indiana, The Country I Come From, took it's title from "With God on Our Side" and includes a poem I wrote in 1971, one of my first: "Song for Bob Dylan" was reprinted in Ben Hedin's recent Studio A: The Bob Dylan Reader, a book you would enjoy. My son, daughter (both violinists), and I enjoyed seeing you play in Chicago with BD and Band and MH in early April.

Comments: I very much enjoyed listening to the High-Flyers via PHC online this morning, Oct. 5, 2005. I immediately went to Amazon.com and your website but was not able to determine how I might purchase a CD of your music. Please advise... as I the upbeat tempo of your music can get my day going. John
Comments: I heard you on PHC yesterday. I didn't catch the whole thing and want to hear more. Tried to get something off the net but all I get is loads of text. Tell me how to hear more on my Mac, Please. Fabulous band. Let me know if you'll be anywhere near Philladelphia. RIch |
