I wanted to complement you guys on the amazing performance you gave at the Lexington Kentucky show this August. I was really floored, never having heard you before, and walked away with a crazy desire to learn the fiddle. The guitar work was absolutely perfect. It was great also to music being fun again, it's been a while.

Hope to see you guys back in Austin sometime,

Jessie

Hey,

Saw your set in the rain last night at Rock Cats Stadium in New Britain, CT.  Loved your music and your fiddle playing. Your bass player was fabulous.  My favorite of the 3 opening acts for Bob Dylan. Thanks for a good time.

Hi,

I caught your act last night at the Dylan show in Manchester New Hampshire (Aug. 27th) and absolutely loved your music.  My brother is getting married next June and I was thinking that your music would be perfect for the wedding.

Hi Elana,

I listen to Jim Visevich on "Sound Off Connecticut" almost daily (WTIC in Hartford). Most of his music I don't really care about but now he plays a few of your songs and I LOVE them!!!!  Can't wait for you to put out a CD.

Dear Elana--Great opening set Saturday night in Frederick, MD! I had never heard your music before. What a wonderful surprise. You and the Continental Two were the best part of the whole evening. (Dylan's song are great, but his voice isn't there anymore; but my wife is still an ardent fan.) Looks like I will be your new ardent fan. I hope you will schedule a show in the Washington, DC area when the Dylan tour is over. The Barns at Wolf Trap would be a terrific venue for your group in the fall or winter. The acoustics there are great. I got to see a performance of Ralph Stanley there, among others. I should have gotten your CD at the show, but I didn't. But I sampled all your songs on your website, and now I'm totally convinced that you are definitely headed for greater and greater musical achievements. Until I get to hear you again in a live show, I'll have to see if I can dig up your CD somewhere. Cheers and all the best!

Jim Vicevich of WTIC-AM radio in Hartford, CT, turned me on to your music -- he plays your stuff coming back from commercial breaks and encouraged us to let you know if we like your music.  So, here I am!  Love your work!  More, more, more!

hi elana. saw you for 1st time in concert @ frederick MD.  WOW...loved your show.  what a great  idea  to  let  our grandchildren be exposed to your  sounds. they LOVED it.  you  are truly an inspiration to the young ...it was great to see the "younger" crowd who probably otherwise never heard your "brand " of music.  i have always been a texas swing kind of gal..thanks for the memories. hope to buy your cd's and catch you again sometime. the whole show at frederick was awsome.  such a treat to see bob dylan.  WOW ....what a show..thanks

Great new CD - got my autographed copy last night at the Dylan concert in Winston-Salem.  But, the CD cover has an incorrect URL!  elenajames.com goes to some other performer's site.

Saw your show last night in Augusta.  I went to see Dylan but you were worth the 3 hour drive.  I will be hunting up your music in the next day or two.  I thought the entire line up for the night worked well.  Each act complimented the other and yours was the perfect way to start the evening.  Do the performers ever listen to each other? Compare notes? Stimulate each other creatively?  Thanks again for a great show!

Hey! I saw you guys in Lexington this week for the Bob Dylan show and now I can't stop gushing about the Elana James Band! I, too, heard "Oklahoma Hills" and referenced it to Charlie Feathers, one of my all-time favorites. Really, I hope ole Bob doesn't mind, but I have to say that EJB and Junior Brown stole the show for me and my group. The only downside? Such a short set. I would have loved to had heard more. Kudos to you and hope to see you again soon!

Hello, I saw you in Columbus, Oh. with Bob Dylan, Jimmy Vaughn, Junior Brown, and oh yea, Eric Clapton. Jimmy Vaughn was great and Eric Clapton was a very special treat. Bob Dylan is an icon and he’s the only one in that show I’ve seen before live. He was also great. But you, the first act, were something I can’t get out of my mind. When you played ‘Oklahoma Hills” by Woody Guthrie (I believe), I went crazy. I’ve never heard anyone do a woody song live other than Arlo. Anyway, I bought one of your CDs at the concert and really would like some more, but your site (from what I could find) didn’t offer any of just you as the main muscian like it was at the concert. Do you plan on getting some more CDs out like that? By the way, I know you won’t remember this but, I met you and your mother out front just as you were getting ready to leave, me and this long hair friend of mine were the last to see you and your mother who had this little dog with her. Dang, getting off the subject. I was wondering, did your mother make you practice your violin every day, or was it something you just liked doing?

Sorry, I’m done..
