Thanks again for coming up to State College, PA.  I'm sorry the weather forced us out of our beautiful new minor league stadium, but we had a wonderful time anyway - hopefully you did too!  And thanks for the signed CD.

Sincerely,
Horst - not horse :-)

ps. We have a *huge* arts festival here in State College each July with a couple outdoor venues for music going nearly full-time.  Hint, hint, hint...

Opening a Dylan show with "Oklahoma Hills". What a tribute to both Bob and more so Woody. A truly touching moment and one hell of a show.

I saw Elena at the Rochester, NY show - they were fabulous!  Perfect warmup act (Bob was okay, too!).
My friend and I were sitting at a table along the vendors walk when we saw this woman walking a dog - there was an older white haired gentleman with her.  They stopped to chat just a short distance away.  My friend and I were speculating on how someone got a dog into the concert.  Then I said something about the woman's high cheekbones and we were agreeing that yes, she was a fine looking woman, and suddenly it was, Hey! That's Elena James!  She was still wearing her stage outfit.  Didn't have the heart to bug her though. Later saw her walkin' alone with the dog down on the field along the second base line. Boy, can she fiddle (and sing)!  As Mr. Bob once said about about a certain performer, "There ain't nothin' about that girl I don't like."
Hope they get back to Rochester.  Wouldn't mind if they brought Mr. D. back with them as well.
By the way, favorite lyric from BD at the concert: "Yes, I see you got your brand new leopard pill skin box hat."

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed you and your cohorts last night in Wappinger Falls. Bob Dylan obviously has great taste in opening acts. I look forward to seeing you headlining. Rock on!

I wanted to complement you guys on the amazing performance you gave at the Lexington Kentucky show this August. I was really floored, never having heard you before, and walked away with a crazy desire to learn the fiddle. The guitar work was absolutely perfect. It was great also to music being fun again, it's been a while.

Hope to see you guys back in Austin sometime,

Jessie

Hey,

Saw your set in the rain last night at Rock Cats Stadium in New Britain, CT.  Loved your music and your fiddle playing. Your bass player was fabulous.  My favorite of the 3 opening acts for Bob Dylan. Thanks for a good time.

Hi,

I caught your act last night at the Dylan show in Manchester New Hampshire (Aug. 27th) and absolutely loved your music.  My brother is getting married next June and I was thinking that your music would be perfect for the wedding.

Hi Elana,

I listen to Jim Visevich on "Sound Off Connecticut" almost daily (WTIC in Hartford). Most of his music I don't really care about but now he plays a few of your songs and I LOVE them!!!!  Can't wait for you to put out a CD.

Dear Elana--Great opening set Saturday night in Frederick, MD! I had never heard your music before. What a wonderful surprise. You and the Continental Two were the best part of the whole evening. (Dylan's song are great, but his voice isn't there anymore; but my wife is still an ardent fan.) Looks like I will be your new ardent fan. I hope you will schedule a show in the Washington, DC area when the Dylan tour is over. The Barns at Wolf Trap would be a terrific venue for your group in the fall or winter. The acoustics there are great. I got to see a performance of Ralph Stanley there, among others. I should have gotten your CD at the show, but I didn't. But I sampled all your songs on your website, and now I'm totally convinced that you are definitely headed for greater and greater musical achievements. Until I get to hear you again in a live show, I'll have to see if I can dig up your CD somewhere. Cheers and all the best!

Jim Vicevich of WTIC-AM radio in Hartford, CT, turned me on to your music -- he plays your stuff coming back from commercial breaks and encouraged us to let you know if we like your music.  So, here I am!  Love your work!  More, more, more!
