Your style, sound, look, stage presence,et.al.just oozed hot!(not cool)Keep up the good work, and yes,us early arrivals were all sweating it out!
Comments: hi elana. saw you for 1st time in concert @ frederick MD. WOW...loved your show. what a great idea to let our grandchildren be exposed to your sounds. they LOVED it. you are truly an inspiration to the young ...it was great to see the "younger" crowd who probably otherwise never heard your "brand " of music. i have always been a texas swing kind of gal..thanks for the memories. hope to buy your cd's and catch you again sometime. the whole show at frederick was awsome. such a treat to see bob dylan. WOW ....what a show..thanks
Comments: Great new CD - got my autographed copy last night at the Dylan concert in Winston-Salem. But, the CD cover has an incorrect URL! elenajames.com goes to some other performer's site.
Comments: Saw you a couple of years ago with Dylan in Louisville. Can't wait to see you in Fort Wayne, IN in September! Love your music!

Comments: Saw your show last night in Augusta. I went to see Dylan but you were worth the 3 hour drive. I will be hunting up your music in the next day or two. I thought the entire line up for the night worked well. Each act complimented the other and yours was the perfect way to start the evening. Do the performers ever listen to each other? Compare notes? Stimulate each other creatively? Thanks again for a great show!

Comments: Hey! I saw you guys in Lexington this week for the Bob Dylan show and now I can't stop gushing about the Elana James Band! I, too, heard "Oklahoma Hills" and referenced it to Charlie Feathers, one of my all-time favorites. Really, I hope ole Bob doesn't mind, but I have to say that EJB and Junior Brown stole the show for me and my group. The only downside? Such a short set. I would have loved to had heard more. Kudos to you and hope to see you again soon! Misty
Comments: Hello, I saw you in Columbus, Oh. with Bob Dylan, Jimmy Vaughn, Junior Brown, and oh yea, Eric Clapton. Jimmy Vaughn was great and Eric Clapton was a very special treat. Bob Dylan is an icon and he’s the only one in that show I’ve seen before live. He was also great. But you, the first act, were something I can’t get out of my mind. When you played ‘Oklahoma Hills” by Woody Guthrie (I believe), I went crazy. I’ve never heard anyone do a woody song live other than Arlo. Anyway, I bought one of your CDs at the concert and really would like some more, but your site (from what I could find) didn’t offer any of just you as the main muscian like it was at the concert. Do you plan on getting some more CDs out like that? By the way, I know you won’t remember this but, I met you and your mother out front just as you were getting ready to leave, me and this long hair friend of mine were the last to see you and your mother who had this little dog with her. Dang, getting off the subject. I was wondering, did your mother make you practice your violin every day, or was it something you just liked doing? Sorry, I’m done..
Comments: Have to agree. Great show in Lexington, KY. Wowed from the start. Thought where has she been all my life. Would have loved to heard Elana with Dylan. Shades of Joan Baez. Gonna search for radio bookings too. How have I missed this? Keep swinging that fiddle!
Comments: Great show last night in lexington. We all decided that you were the best of the three openers for bob. I'll have to keep on eye on your website to see if you are coming back near here anytime.
Comments: Hey Elana!
What an incredible treat you gave us last night in Columbus! You are dynamite on the fiddle and your band is first rate! After your set I came looking to buy a CD but I didn't find you (where were you hiding?) Oh well! I'll just hafta buy one of the website.
My friends who went to the show were all talking about Clapton showing up to jam with Jimmy Vaughn, but I was talkin about you! Hope you make your way back to C-Bus again!
And good luck with rest of the tour. Hope it continues to be as fun as you said!

Comments: Saw you at the Dylan show last night. Your band is really incredible. Love the CD and thanks for the advice on the t-shirt for my wife.
Comments: Hello -- this is the 3rd time I've seen you perform (other 2 times were with HC of CT), once at Lake Eden North Carolina, once at Dayton City Folk (we shared a van -- I said, "aren't you the HC of CT?" You said, "Yes! Who are you?"
Leslie in Columbus
Comments: We were out last night to see the Dylan show, and found you guys to be incredible. We really loved the energy and the abilities of all the players. If you get back to Columbus, we will be out to see you. As fellow musicians we can see the love for music in the faces during the show. Your whole group shows it. Thank you for a wonderful show.

DYNAMITE SHOW!
We couldn't have enjoyed your Hond's last night show any more than we did. The addition of Whit was an extra treat and hope you will pick him up for your Pioneer Museum engagement.
Anyway....best of luck to you and the Continental guys' on the upcoming tour. Just remember, the Hill Country loves you'all best of all, so get back soon!
BTW, say woof! to Eva.
Comments: Hey. Its the hondos busser who looked after you dog. eva? well i loved it but most of all i loved working to the tune of yalls band. But great show. everyone enjoyed it! ![]()
Comments: You go to the top cowgirl! Great show at Hondo's in Fredericksburg, TX. Enjoyed your music with the Continental Two. Good luck on your tour with Bob Dylan.
Comments: See you in Fargo on September 9, Alana. (Sure glad the Madison-LaCrosse-Duluty thing fell through in favor of Rochester-Sioux Falls-Fargo!) Any chance you might sit in on a tune with Bob? I am guessing the answer is yes.

Comments: Hey Elena, Boo-hoo! So you're not comin' to Denver town just 'cause Bobby and Junior needed the hottest fiddle player west of the Mississippi for their tour?!? Dang. You knock 'em out and get your self back West as soon as you can, girl. We need your swingin' smokin' cowtunes out here on the prairie. Charlie Richardson Boulder, Colorado
Comments: Hey Elana: We jammed together at a steak house in El Paso a couple of years back, and since then I've been getting a real kick out of seeing you do so well. Good luck and Godspeed!
