Hi Elana,
I've had the pleasure of seeing you in concert several times and finally met you at the last 2 ballpark shows in South and North Dakota, September of 2006. We chatted a bit on both days. Thank you for signing a copy of your CD for me. I treasure it.
The first time I saw your band was at the very first Nelson/Dylan ballpark show in Cooperstown, NY. I dug your band and your sound straight-away. Then you toured briefly with Bob. I LOVED seeing you standing there with the guys more than holding your own. I still (at times) miss seeing that, but things must change. :-)
I didn't realize until today you also played on the song Tell Ol' Bill. Cool!
Congrats on ALL your achievements and may you have many, many more.
I am sad to see Denver (where I currently reside) is not on your tour list. Maybe though that will change!
What then is the title of your band's new CD? I want to find it!
Until we meet again I wish you and yours peace and blessings.
Please never stop bringing musical joy and happiness to the world.
With love,
April Melody

Elana !....your music I have LOVED ever since I first heard you play at the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Who doesn't love Texas Swing? (don't want to know them.) Expertly executed and damn fun to listen to. You inspired me to listen to more of this genre, Bob Wills, Lyle Lovett.(i'm going to see him in concert next month, he's touring with John Hiatt), and of course, Asleep at the Wheel (awesome!).  MUSIC what a GREAT hobby! I am an aspiring violinist and really appreciate the tabs and any music you provide on your website. Can't wait to buy your newest CD. Sounds like you are very happy in your new endeavors and I wish you all the best!!!!.......regards,sheila

Just saw you guys perform at the Austin Airport (of all places) and loved it! I'm really not a country fan, but my son loves Riders in the Sky and since then my appreciation for it has grown tremendously. As a musician myself, it's great to see a group of your caliber. Great musicianship and fun to listen too! We live in Santa Cruz, CA so we'll see you when you come in April. How great is that? Keep up the great work!

Hi Elana;

We used to go to listen to you at Threadgills in the 90s when you were with the Hot Club of Cowtown and we still enjoy those CDs. We followed your career and were so glad that you toured with Dylan. Every time we tried to see you in Austin in recent years, something intervened. But, finally, on January 20th at the Continental Club, we got to be there from pre-show tune up till the end of the show. One of the best musical events we have ever enjoyed. Your voice sounded more mellow and with greater range and how you shared the stage with Whit and Erik was something special. You treated everyone on stage and your audience like old friends. We had a blast and were glad to see the place so packed and so many people having such a good time. We wish you the very best and hope to attend more of your shows.

Hope you come back to southern California soon.  "Coffee Gallery Backstage" features some great fiddlers including Benny Brydern and Evan Marshall, but they lack a "certain something"...

(singing voice... yeah, that's what I meant!)

It's great that you make music available for download, but you've got some files up in AIFF format, which has to be killing your server. You might want to re-encode those as MP3s, which would make them considerably smaller.

I was really impressed with your afternoon show at Gruene Hall on Saturday. I had my 85 year old dad with me and you really impressed him, too. He played the clarinet in small jazz bands in central Texas for most of my younger years. He played with Johnny Gimble at one time and when you said that Johnny was your hero and mentor Dad just couldn't believe it. Of course they played together some 50 years ago. You certainly learned well from Johnny and probably a lot of other folks. You were awesome on the fiddle and your voice and lyrics were just great. I bought your cd and Dad was thrilled to hear Johnny on it as well as a couple of songs with a clarinet. Thanks for making two old men so happy with your music. I look forward to seeing your show again sometimes soon . G

Really looking forward to seeing you at Luna come Sat Dec 16.  I am also big fans of Luke and Beau as well. I saw them with Carnaval Mystyque(sp?) a couple of times. Also at Luna. I am glad things have been going so well for you lately. It's great to see talented people get some recognition. So often they don't.

See you soon.   Andy

Dear Elana,
As always, I ask when will you guys come to Australia???
You made it as far as Japan, why not keep on coming down to oz?
By the way how can I get a copy of your 2002 DVD from Japan with the Cowtowners?
Thanks anyways for the music. You're an endless source of inspiration!!!
We are starting a three piece western swing band here in Canberra Australia, called Dr. StovePipe's HipTonic!!!
Cheers,
Pablo

My wife Terry and I enjoyed your band's performance at Suzanna's Kitchen last week 10/19.  The audience was very respectful and it allowed everyone to really listen to your songs.

I especially enjoyed listening to your cover of Dylan's song "One more night".   If you are looking for another Dylan song to perform with your band please consider instrumental version of "All along the watchtower".  Take care and be safe.

Thanks for the GREAT performance in Lexington, to both Elana & The Continental Two (which totalled 3 that night).  Absolutely smokin' on the instruments and vocals.  Not to disparage any of the other groups, but you were the highlight of the evening.

Keep it up!!!

Hey Elana,
I've seen you twice now. First, opening for Bob Dylan & Willie Nelson in 2004 with the Hot Club of Cowtown. And second in 2006 opening for Bob Dylan again. Loved you both times. When we saw you in 2006 in Lexington KY my friends all agreed that you were the best of the 3 openers even though I personally am a huge Junior Brown and Jimmie Vaughan fan. You really got me dancing. Thanks and keep up the great work. I hope Bob Dylan invites you to open for him again.

Dear Elana,
Thanks for the great performance in Fargo ND last Sat night.  Excellent Band, wonderful timing, and the energy! My My.  Its been a long long tour and the last night you all looked like your ready for 20 more.
I am going to keep my eyes open for you in the future.  Mr D. sure puts together a excellent tour and his taste in warm-up bands is as good as it gets.  (I thought maybe I was in Austin for a minute).  Seeing you in the Official Merchandise stand so close and accessable.  Well, I may be old, but I still am bashful!  Your very stunning from 300 yards, but in person up close, well, I was like a kid in 4th grade.  Y
Best of luck in the future, your tallents will all do you well.
Thanks again
John

When are you going to get a booking in Tulsa?   Also, when you left Hot Club, why did Jake not go with you?  His choice or yours?  I thought (think) the two of you were extraordinary.
