Hello Elana -
I have followed you since the days of playing in College Station.  I gave you the disc with "Them Rabbits Go Dancing" on it and told you you were my favorite fiddle player of all time.   That still holds.  I also think your sexy singing is underrated because you are so darn good on the fiddle.  Your work, by the way, on "Tell Ol' Bill" is hauntingly good.  I am enjoying your solo album along with every other thing you have recorded.  I have it all.  The Hot Club work is timeless.  Glad to hear you are playing together again.  Best wishes, and thanks for the great music.

We saw you last night at the Sage and thought the trio was incredible. We could have listened to you for far longer. We now have to search for your music - it does not seem to be widely available in the UK.
Have you made a live album?
I hope you come back to the UK.

Hi Elena, Whit, and Beau,
Wow! I heard you all were back together and I couldn't believe my ears. My husband saw the add saying you were coming to KC in our local paper, checked out the website and clued me in.  We first heard and loved your music at The Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS.  When you didn't appear there the 3rd year in a row we had to find out what had happened. We discovered the news of the break up and were saddened, but still would rave about your music to friends.
So glad to hear that you are doing well!  We will not be in town for your KC gig. We'll try to come see you somewhere else. Hey! Why don't you check with Bob about going back to the WVF in Winfield. You'll sell tons of CD's the people there are NUTS! I know because I am one of those people.
Can't wait to see you in concert again.
Ellen

Great show at the Hotel Utah last Friday!  My bandmates and I feel lucky and honored that we had the opportunity to open the show.  Y'all were amazing and an inspiration to be sure.  Have a great tour!

Hey guys!

I was at your show last night @ Don Quixote's in Felton, CA.  What a glorious show!  I've been a fan of Whit and Elana for a long time, but that was my first time seeing you guys live.  And I have to say that Beau is an amazing addition.  All three of you were on fire!

I just recently went to see the band Muse in San Francisco, and they put on an incredible show to a packed audience of many thousands @ the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.  However, I have to say that seeing you guys play to an audience of 50 or so people @ a bar just a few minutes from my home in Santa Cruz was 10 times as thrilling as seeing Muse!

Thanks for the great show, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all again.

Sincerely,
Ryan Genone

Great show at Don Quiotes last night! It was the best you guys have ever sounded! But being a critic, the vocals could have been a little louder. Thanks for playing our little area and have a ball in Japan.gc

I've got myself a little budding violinist daughter who just turned 8... took to it like a pig to mud and after only 9 months, held her own in the Fiddletown Fiddle contest last fall. This year, for practice incentive (!), I want to take her to a number of gigs for her to see what great things can come of hard work and dedication and I was really excited to see you in the area Wed (Grass Valley) and Thurs (Winters)! It's a 2-hour trek either way but I can't think of a better artist to blow her little socks off! Look for a little girl with brown curly locks and a mouth wide open.

I just heard you again on KPIG...your voice and attitude are absolutely wonderful. I would like to order you cds but I only had one request, is it possible to get the cd signed to add to my growing collection. Most of the artists are from KPIG. Remember Real People and Real Music. You are great. Hope to hear from you. Sorry I missed you in Altadena.

Elana,
Jim V of WTIC teased his audience with little snippets of your music for two weeks before your Cafe 9 gig.  My wife I enjoyed your music immencely.  You're one of the few performers that sound even better in person than on recordings.
Beau lays down some solid sounds with his upright, truly impressive.
The three of you really put on quite a show.
                                            Another new fan

Elana,
We loved your performance at the Narrows Center. Such a pleasure to watch and listen to three gifted musicians. So enjoying the CD, a real breath of fresh air. Looked at your touring schedule, as you said you would return in May. Want to bring some friends to the next show, so they can be indebted to us for a great night out. Will keep checking your site for the date.
Regards,
Peg

Elana,
Heard you guys on Hillbilly at Harvard on Saturday and was so impressed that I coaxed my wife and another couple to make the drive down to see your show at the Narrows. You kicked butt!! We all loved the show.
At the break, I had the opportunity to meet you and have you sign the new CD. You were just as nice as can be (and a hottie, too)! I love the new CD and am looking into getting some of your earlier work. You definitely have a new fan.
Thanks, Bob

OMG, my wife and I just happened to be in Great Barrington, Mass. for the weekend and decided to stop in Club Helsinki to spend a Friday evening. We had no idea about Elena James and Her Continental Two. Well, you three blew us out of our seats and into the potato patch across the road. By the end of the show, we were just speechless, wiping the tears from our eyes and going "Holy crap, holy crap!"
Never have I seen such tight, inspired acoustic musicianship. Jimi Hendrix set his guitar on fire, but it would be entirely redundant for Elena James to torch her fiddle, as her fiery attack just burnt the house down. Best fiddle playing I have ever seen, hands down. Whit on guitar and Beau on bass were just as awesome.
Thank you for probably the most memorable live musical performance we have ever witnessed. Seriously, we both had trouble sleeping that night, replaying it all in our minds.

Saw you and the band for the first time @ Gruene Hall this past saturday 3-17-07 and was blown away at the band's talent. I got to speak to you and asked you about coming to Ft. Worth for a gig and you told me that you did not have much of a following in this area. Well, I am gonna try to work on that I know a couple of people that my be able to help you out. I will send them to your web site and I see what we can do.

I’ve been a fan of yours for about a year now, since I discovered your Hot Club of Cowtown cd’s. I had your latest album pre-ordered weeks in advance. We drove down to Gruene Hall to see you in person for the first time last Saturday. I was blown away! Whit’s right, you can play the violin and fiddle at the same time. It’s a rare thing to have the kind of stage presence, talent and showmanship you guys have. You do great covers of classic tunes, but it’s your original songs that really shine. Keep the music coming and we’ll keep buying the CD’s! Oh, and thanks for the photo, that was fun.
